Mabul Island & Kapalai The Islands of Mabul and Kapalai are synonymous with excellent muck diving. In addition to countless other species, Frogfish, nudibranchs, pygmy seahorse, cuttlefish, turtles, mandarin fish, pipefish and flatworms, make these islands their home. The famous sites of the Seaventures Oil Rig, Froggy lair, Paradise and Lobster Wall are no more than a three minute boat ride from the Sipadan Lodge. Sipadan Sipadan is consistently rated one of the top five diving destinations in the world. This awe-inspiring Island and the waters are a dream for snorkelers and divers alike. Sharks, turtles, schools of barracuda, batfish, bump-head parrotfish, jack and fusiliers, to name a few, are present in staggering numbers. For those fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time, Sipadan is also visited by hammerheads, manta rays, eagle rays and whale sharks. |
